If you’ve experienced a spiritual awakening, then you know what it feels like.
Your mind is more focused on the world around you.
You notice little things about the world and other people that you didn’t see before.
You start to see life from a different perspective. You begin to question everything about yourself, your surroundings, and the beliefs that you once held so dear.
Unsurprisingly, this process can lead to some uncomfortable side effects.
Spiritual awakening headaches are one of them.
It can be scary when everything you ever believed suddenly seems false and untrue.
All of a sudden, you realize that you must redefine who you are.
That’s why we have put together 14 tips for dealing with your own spiritual awakening headaches if they happen to you as well!
1) Breathe, breathe, breathe
When you are experiencing a headache, the best thing to do is to breathe deeply.
There are countless breathing exercises that you can practice.
Doing breathing exercises can easily lead you to states of expanded consciousness, where you will be able to see the world around you more clearly.
Doing these exercises will help you relax and, as a result, may help reduce headaches.
Breathwork is my favorite spiritual practice.
I tried a variety of approaches and teachers before finding the Shaman Rudá Iandê’s Ybytu free Masterclass.
The theories he teaches are clear, simple, and surprisingly useful.
Learning about Shamanic Breathwork has been one of the best decisions I have made in a long time.
There is no better tool for working on your transformation than breathing.
The techniques in this masterclass helped me with my headaches, but more importantly, they inspired me to think creatively and to experience moments of clarity.
Here’s the link to the free masterclass again.
2) Ground yourself with nature
Nature is a source of great energy.
Try doing yoga alone in the forest for example, and I assure you, you will experience immense peacefulness.
Nature is the source of our energy and the source of our power.
It helps us to stay grounded and centered.
By spending time in nature, you are giving your body the energy that it needs to heal itself naturally.
Spending time in nature may also help you to feel more connected to yourself and your surroundings.
3) Exercise
If you’re feeling that you have a spiritual awakening headache, try doing some exercise.
I don’t think you have to go to the gym if you don’t want to.
Just take a walk in nature, lift some weights, or do yoga.
Other than specifically meditating, nothing releases the pressure in the third eye like exercise does.
Exercise stimulates your pineal gland, which is the gland that is causing the pressure in the third eye.
It’s also the gland responsible for releasing endorphins, which are chemicals that help to relieve pain.
Exercise also helps you to clear your mind and let go of negative thoughts. Not to mention the chemicals you release while exercising, which help to relieve pain.
This is one of the most effective ways to stop spiritual awakening headaches.
Be careful, though! It’s not a good idea to push yourself too hard if you’re dealing with a serious headache. Finding your balance and being gentle with yourself is the best approach.
4) Talk to a friend or mentor
If you don’t have anyone you can talk to about your spiritual awakening headaches, it would be a good idea to find people who are going through the same thing.
You can discover like-minded individuals by visiting spiritual forums online, where you can connect with people who are going through the same thing as you.
Or you could also ask your yoga instructor or people who are more in touch with their inner selves for help.
When you don’t have anyone you can talk to, your thoughts just keep spinning around and around in your head.
This can make your spiritual awakening headaches much worse.
However, if you can find someone who understands what you’re going through, they can help you to let go of the negative thoughts and feelings that are making your headaches worse.
5) Read/Research
When you have a headache, you probably drink some water or have some ibuprofen.
When you have a spiritual awakening headache, reading about what you’re experiencing can help a lot.
Having a clear understanding of the emotional cause of any discomfort you experience gives you the ability to change your mindset and eliminate any suffering.
You can read about how to stop spiritual awakening headaches or about how to recognize them, and how to stop them from getting worse.
Explore all the ways other people have used to stop their spiritual awakening headaches.
You can read about any symptoms that you’re experiencing and what they mean.
Having a better understanding of the modifications you are experiencing and how they are normal and nothing to worry about will help you.
6) Remember that it’s temporary
Some people have headaches that seem to never go away.
That’s not what spiritual awakening headaches are like. They may last for some time, but they don’t last forever.
When you’ve been going through something for a long time, it’s easy to start to think that it will never end.
But it will.
By the time you’ve gone through your spiritual awakening, you’ll be a completely different person.
You’ll be a spirit being who has fully awakened to your true self.
7) Keep writing your gratitude list
As your spiritual awakening progresses and you’re hit with more and more challenges, you may want to start writing a gratitude list.
Your gratitude list will help you to stay grounded in the present.
It will help you to remember that you’re going through all of this and that you’re going through it for a reason.
It will help you to stay grateful for all of your experiences and for all of the people who are supporting you during this time.
When you have a headache, it helps to focus on something specific.
You can write down anything that comes to mind about what has happened so far in your spiritual awakening.
8) Remember that this is a good thing
When you have headaches that make you want to stay in bed and do nothing, it’s easy to think that they’re bad.
However, headaches are a normal part of growing up.
Your body is naturally going through changes, and those changes sometimes cause discomfort. It’s the same with a spiritual awakening headache.
These headaches are normal and healthy. They’re just a sign that you’re growing.
Your spirit is stretching and changing, and it’s taking more energy to do so.
Every time that you have a headache, you’re actually doing yourself a favor. You’re helping your body to change and grow.
You’re helping yourself to awaken to your true nature.
9) Make time for solitude and self-care
The more you push yourself, the more likely you are to experience spiritual awakening headaches.
If you’re feeling like you’re being hit by these headaches, it’s a sign that you’re pushing yourself too hard.
You’re putting too much pressure on yourself.
You need to stop pushing yourself so hard. You need to make time for solitude and self-care.
When you take care of yourself, you’re taking away the pressure. You’re giving yourself the energy that you need to keep growing and to keep changing.
When you make time for solitude and self-care, you’re also making time for your spirit.
You’re giving your spirit the space that it needs to grow and change.
10) Get to know yourself better
When people are going through a spiritual awakening, they often feel like they don’t know who they are anymore.
However, they don’t have to worry about that. They only have to get to know themselves better.
They only have to remember the person that they always were.
They only have to remember the weird kid that they used to be. They only have to remember the kid who loved animals and trees and the kid who didn’t care what other people thought. They only have to remember the kid who was open to the weird and wonderful world around them. They only have to be that kid again.
Trust that you possess all the answers deep down inside of you.
11) Heal yourself with Reiki and crystals
Reiki is a form of energy healing where the practitioner places his hands on or near the body of the person they are treating.
This helps stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities and relieve pain.
Reiki is practiced by many alternative healers and people who want to learn how to heal themselves naturally and holistically.
Crystals are another way that people use alternative methods for healing themselves and relieving symptoms such as headaches, stress, anxiety, depression, and other illnesses.
Crystals have been used for healing purposes since ancient times. In fact, there are records from ancient Egypt that describe how crystals were used for healing purposes.
In modern times, crystals have been shown in scientific studies to emit bio-energy into our bodies.
This bio-energy may be responsible for some of its healing properties.
By holding a crystal during your spiritual awakening process (specifically during headaches), you are giving your body the energizing bio-energy that it needs to heal itself.
12) Ask for help from your ancestors and other spiritual beings
When you are going through a spiritual awakening, you may not feel like you have the answers all of the time.
The truth is that you do have all of the answers deep down inside of you.
You just have to remember where those answers are.
By asking for help from your ancestors and other spiritual beings, you are giving yourself the guidance that you need to find those answers and make sense of what’s happening in your life.
You can ask your ancestors to help you by:
- Visualize them in your mind.
- Feeling their presence and energy with you.
- Speaking to them, especially when you are in a dark place or feeling alone.
- Listening to the advice they give you.
- Doing rituals.
- Keeping their teachings alive by writing them down and reading them daily.
13) Get a massage or take a bath
Massage therapy is another way that people use for healing themselves and relieving pain.
When you receive a message, it helps stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities and relieve pain.
Baths are also an excellent way to relax and relieve stress and anxiety.
They help you relieve stress by focusing on other parts of your body besides your head or your muscles.
Our bodies have many other parts that can be focused on to give us relief from stress or anxiety as well as relaxation.
Conclusion
Spiritual awakening headaches can be a painful experience, but they are so worth it when you can let them go.
Those are signs that you are heading in the right direction.
When you are finally able to let go of these headaches, you will be able to fully experience your spirit.
You will be able to fully experience your true self.
By using the different methods I have listed above, you can help yourself heal naturally.
The best part about healing yourself is that you can do it on your own without any medical help.
Your body is the most powerful healing tool in the world, and it will heal itself when given the right support and energy.
