We all want to be more disciplined, it’s no secret.
After all, disciplined people seem to have it all: the career, the health, the productive hobbies.
But what do they do differently?
Let’s look at 10 little things disciplined people do that sets them apart from us normal folk.
1) They commit and are true to their word
Disciplined people are true to their word. They don’t take shortcuts or make promises they can’t keep.
They are also willing to put in the extra effort to get what they want.
For example, one of the most important things a disciplined person does is always be on task.
They know that if they’re not working perfectly and meeting deadlines, they’ll be held accountable and may have to work harder in the future.
They also have a strong sense of values and what’s important to them. They don’t just focus on themselves, but also on others.
They are sticklers for detail, which can sometimes lead them into trouble.
But that’s okay – they’re usually able to figure out a solution when it comes to making sure their responsibilities are met correctly.
2) They are confident in their abilities
Disciplined people are confident in their abilities.
They just know that insecurity won’t get them very far in life.
If you’re anything like me, it can be hard to overcome certain insecurities, am I right?
But it’s true, insecurity has no place in the life of a disciplined person.
So how can you overcome this insecurity that’s been nagging you?
The most effective way is to tap into your personal power.
You see, we all have an incredible amount of power and potential within us, but most of us never tap into it. We become bogged down in self-doubt and limiting beliefs. We stop doing what brings us true happiness.
I learned this from the shaman Rudá Iandê. He’s helped thousands of people align work, family, spirituality, and love so they can unlock the door to their personal power.
He has a unique approach that combines traditional ancient shamanic techniques with a modern-day twist. It’s an approach that uses nothing but your own inner strength – no gimmicks or fake claims of empowerment.
Because true empowerment needs to come from within.
In his excellent free video, Rudá explains how you can create the life you’ve always dreamed of and increase attraction in your partners, and it’s easier than you might think.
So if you’re tired of living in frustration, dreaming but never achieving, and living in self-doubt, you need to check out his life-changing advice.

3) They avoid temptation
Trying to do everything at once is often the downfall of any goal.
When you try to do too much, it’s hard to stick to a plan.
Disciplined people know this and focus on one task at a time.
This allows them to stay on track and avoid temptation.
Tiredness, stress, or boredom can all get in the way of a successful goal.
Disciplined people know that when they keep temptation around them, it is much harder to resist.
You see, the difference between successful people and less successful people is often not that the less successful folk are lazy or have no willpower.
On the contrary, willpower is hard to be trained. It’s much easier to just avoid temptation altogether!
Disciplined people know this, so they try to stay away from things that could lead them off track.
4) They take care of themselves
Disciplined people often take care of themselves physically.
They:
- exercise
- eat healthily
- limit their alcohol and caffeine intake
- sleep enough
- get enough water
But not just that, they also take care of themselves on a mental and spiritual level by:
- journaling
- seeing a therapist
- praying
- meditating
- doing breathwork
All these things help with coping with emotions. Coping with feelings in a healthy way can be really hard, I know.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
When I felt the most lost in life, I was introduced to an unusual free breathwork video created by the shaman, Rudá Iandê, which focuses on dissolving stress and boosting inner peace.
My relationship was failing, I felt tense all the time. My self-esteem and confidence hit rock bottom. I’m sure you can relate – heartbreak does little to nourish the heart and soul.
I had nothing to lose, so I tried this free breathwork video, and the results were incredible.
But before we go any further, why am I telling you about this?
I’m a big believer in sharing – I want others to feel as empowered as I do. And, if it worked for me, it could help you too.
Secondly, Rudá hasn’t just created a bog-standard breathing exercise – he’s cleverly combined his many years of breathwork practice and shamanism to create this incredible flow – and it’s free to take part in.
Now, I don’t want to tell you too much because you need to experience this for yourself.
All I will say is that by the end of it, I felt peaceful and optimistic for the first time in a long time.
And let’s face it, we can all do with a feel-good boost during relationship struggles.
So, if you feel a disconnect with yourself due to your failing relationship, I’d recommend checking out Rudá’s free breathwork video. You might not be able to save your relationship, but you will stand a shot of saving yourself and your inner peace.

- wake up
- drink a glass of water

They also have a very strong work ethic. They don’t tolerate failure and they always try to do their best no matter what.
10) They stick to their deadlines

For example, if they miss a deadline on a project, they usually take action to make sure that the project is done as quickly as possible.
They’ll also try to find a way to meet the deadline, no matter what.
But these people are not afraid of making mistakes. They know that making mistakes is part of the process of learning and growing.
But instead of being discouraged or angry about the mistake, disciplined people often learn from their mistake and move forward with the project.
