If a woman displays these 7 subtle body language signs, she is secretly attracted to you

Body language can speak louder than words, especially when it comes to attraction.

Decoding these silent signals can feel like learning a new language, but once you’ve mastered it, you’ll have unlocked a whole new realm of understanding.

Now, I’m not saying that every woman is an open book. Far from it. But there are certain telltale signs that she might be interested in you, even if she’s keeping it under wraps.

Today, I’ll be sharing with you seven subtle body language signs that a woman may be secretly attracted to you. These are observations I’ve gathered over years of relationship coaching and personal experience.

So buckle up and get ready to dive into the world of nonverbal communication. It’s going to be an enlightening ride.

1) The lingering touch

Here’s a secret: when a woman likes you, she may touch you more than usual.

This isn’t about grand gestures or passionate embraces. I’m talking about subtle, fleeting touches that linger a little longer than necessary.

She might brush her hand against yours, lightly touch your arm during a conversation, or perhaps even ‘accidentally’ bump into you. These are all signs that she’s comfortable with you and looking for ways to establish contact.

But remember, context is key. Not every touch is an indication of romantic interest. Sometimes, a touch is just a touch. So be observant, but also be respectful.

2) The lookaway glance

Contrary to what you might think, if a woman is attracted to you, she might not always maintain eye contact.

In fact, she might do the exact opposite. This is often referred to as the ‘lookaway glance’.

Here’s how it works: she’ll make eye contact with you, hold it for a fleeting moment, and then quickly look away. It might seem as if she’s disinterested or distracted, but in reality, it could be a sign of her attraction towards you.

The lookaway glance is often accompanied by a coy smile or blush. It’s an unconscious reaction that displays a mixture of nervousness and excitement.

3) Open body language

One of the most common signs of attraction is open body language. A woman who is attracted to you will typically face you directly, lean in when you’re talking, and make wide gestures.

This open posture is her way of inviting you into her personal space and showing that she’s comfortable around you. It’s a sign of trust and interest.

Now, here’s where it gets interesting. In my book, Breaking The Attachment: How To Overcome Codependency in Your Relationship, I delve deeper into how our body language can reveal a lot about our emotional state and relationship dynamics.

When a woman displays open body language towards you, it’s often a sign that she’s emotionally available and receptive to your presence. It’s a clear green light that she’s interested in getting to know you better.

4) The hair twirl

You’ve probably seen this in movies: a woman twirling her hair while engaged in a deep conversation. It might seem cliché, but there’s a reason this image is so prevalent – it’s often a sign of attraction.

When a woman is interested in you, she might start playing with her hair unconsciously. It’s a nervous habit – a way to release tension and occupy her hands.

From my own experiences, I can tell you this: when I’m drawn to someone, I find myself reaching for my hair without even realizing it.

As Albert Einstein once said, “The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.” This couldn’t be truer when it comes to deciphering signals of attraction. The subtle signs, like a woman twirling her hair, add to the mysterious allure of attraction.

5) The contagious laughter

Laughter is like a magnet, right? It’s this magical thing that brings people together no matter what. And when it comes to attraction, a woman’s laughter can spill some serious beans.

If she’s cracking up at your jokes—even the ones that barely qualify as jokes—take it as a green light. It means she’s digging your vibe and wants you to know it.

From my own experience, I’ve noticed that when I’m crushing on someone, I suddenly find everything they say hilarious. I’m just more tuned into their funny side, you know?

6) The mirroring effect

Ever noticed how close friends often mimic each other’s gestures, speech patterns, or even posture? This is known as mirroring, and it’s not just something that happens between friends. It’s a common sign of attraction too.

When a woman is attracted to you, she might start mirroring your actions without even realizing it. It’s an unconscious way of building rapport and showing empathy.

I remember when I first started dating my partner, I found myself unconsciously copying his gestures and speech. It was a subtle sign of my growing attraction towards him.

As the famous saying goes, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” So, if you notice her mirroring your actions, take it as a compliment. It’s likely a sign of her attraction towards you.

7) The bashful blush

We often associate blushing with embarrassment, but it can also be a powerful indicator of attraction.

Let me clarify: Blushing is an involuntary physiological response triggered by emotional arousal. When someone feels attracted to another person, their body experiences a rush of emotions, such as excitement, nervousness, or even a slight increase in heart rate.

These intense feelings? They can stimulate the body’s sympathetic nervous system, leading to the dilation of blood vessels in the face and causing the characteristic reddening of the cheeks.

This is raw and real. A woman with butterflies in her stomach can’t fake a blush. It’s her body’s natural response to the excitement she feels around you.

Understanding the language of love

Deciphering the language of love can be a challenging task. The subtle body language cues women often exhibit when they’re attracted to someone are complex and varied. But once you learn to recognize these signs, it can open up a whole new world of understanding.

These seven signs we’ve discussed are just a starting point. There’s so much more to learn about human behavior and attraction, and every individual is unique in their expressions and responses.

This brings to mind one of my favorite quotes from Maya Angelou: “Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.” And I believe that understanding these subtle signs is a step towards breaking down those barriers.
