Do you ever feel like you’re the biggest loser on the planet?
Don’t worry, you’re not alone.
Actually, I was in your exact shoes just a few months ago.
What changed? Well, I learned how to stop being a loser!
I want to share that info with you so that you, too, can feel better about yourself!
Here is everything you need to know:
What makes a loser?
Before we start, let’s just get on the same page of what a loser even is.
The thing is if we don’t know exactly what a loser is, how can we stop being one?
When we think of a loser, we imagine someone who is lazy, unmotivated, unsuccessful, and pathetic.
Losers have no self-discipline and are out of control with their emotions.
Losers do things out of desperation, which always leads to bad outcomes.
You see, losers are usually not in good health, and they are often financially unstable.
To sum it up, if you want to stop being a loser, then you have to start acting like a winner.
A winner has discipline, is self-motivated, successful, in control of their emotions, and is in good health. You can become a winner if you start making better decisions in your life.
Now: I was just as much of a loser as you are, but the important thing is that you don’t get offended by me saying that.
You need to start being accountable for the fact that you are a loser!
I know, it’s not easy to hear, but that’s actually already my first step: take responsibility for your life!
But let’s look at the other tips:
Start working out
Staying active is one of the best ways to stay healthy and boost your confidence.
When you feel good in your body, it reflects positively on your self-esteem.
Working out releases endorphins and serotonin, which help to improve your mood and make you feel less stressed out.
Working out also helps you to sleep better, improves your sex life, and keeps you in good shape so that you can live a longer and healthier life.
There are many types of physical activities that you can do.
They include cardio, weight lifting, yoga, martial arts, dance, etc.
Pick a type of workout that you enjoy and that you can do consistently.
It is important to stay consistent so that you can see results.
If you don’t like a particular workout, then you will end up quitting. It is better to find an activity that you enjoy so that it does not feel like a chore.
Once I started working out, I felt my confidence skyrocket. This is an amazing first step, and it doesn’t have anything to do with how you look – it’s all about how you feel!
Find your passion
Do you know what you want to do in life?
Many people live their lives without knowing what their passions are.
This leads to them becoming lazy and unmotivated.
You will not be successful in life if you do not know what your passions are.
Find your passions by asking yourself questions like:
- What do you love doing?
- What do you want to be known for?
- What do you feel drawn to?
- What has captured your attention?
- What makes you feel happy?
- What, when you are doing it, makes you feel fulfilled?
- What do you have a natural talent for?
- What can you see yourself doing for the rest of your life?
You have to be honest with yourself and explore your interests.
You can do so by getting out of your comfort zone, taking some risks, and exploring new activities.
You might even have a few passions that you can explore.
Once you know what your passions are, you can start planning ways to turn them into a career.
The thing is, when you have a passion, you are automatically not a loser anymore.
Passionate people are winning in life.
Be ambitious about what you do
If you are a loser, then you are probably doing something that does not require ambition or effort.
You need to switch that around and do something that requires ambition and effort.
Ambition is the desire to achieve greatness or something extraordinary.
You can apply the same process that you used to discover what your passions are to discover what you are ambitious about.
What problems do you want to solve? What situations do you want to improve?
What do you want to leave behind as a legacy?
Once you figure out what you are ambitious about, you can start working on a plan to make it happen.
You need to start somewhere and with something that you are capable of doing.
The thing is, when you are ambitious, you immediately step into your own personal power.
An ambitious person usually has a pretty good relationship with themselves, and that makes the difference between a winner and a loser.
I learned that from the shaman Rudá Iandê. In his excellent free video, he explains why people are not achieving what they want and how you can easily reach your goals.
I kid you not, I’m usually not one to follow any shamans or anything, but this video opened my eyes to why I was such a loser!
Trust me, if you want to unlock your own endless potential, this video is the perfect first step!
Here’s a link to the free video again.
Have your own opinions
Losers are usually very passive and have no strong opinions about anything.
People who have strong personalities and have their own opinions are usually not considered losers.
If you want to stop being a loser, then you need to start having your own opinions.
You should also be able to defend your opinions.
If someone asks you for your opinion about something, you don’t have to reply with “I don’t know” just because you are scared they will not like your answer.
You can have an opinion on almost anything! You can actively work towards having your own opinions by being more curious about the world and what’s going on in it.
Read the newspaper, magazines, and follow trending topics online.
You also need to challenge yourself and get out of your comfort zone.
Meeting new people and exploring new activities can help you to form an opinion.
Trust me, once I started forming my own opinions, I started feeling like I could finally do something about my problems!
You will have to work for your opinions, but it’s well worth the effort.
Don’t let other people make you feel bad about yourself. Losers are usually very self-conscious and shy.
They don’t like to speak out and they can be very negative towards themselves.
You need to stop being so hard on yourself and learn how to love yourself more.
How? By constantly reminding yourself that you are great and that everyone else has their own set of problems too!
You just need to find what you love and what makes you happy about yourself and live with it!
Don’t be passive, take action
Losers are passive and are the ones who wait for things to happen.
Winners take action and make things happen.
Losers always have a ton of excuses as to why they can’t do what they want to do.
Winners get stuff done, no matter what.
Simply put, if you want to stop being a loser, then you need to start taking action.
This can apply to your health, career, relationships, finances, or anything else in your life.
The most successful people in the world are the ones who take action.
You can start taking action by making a list of everything that you want to do in life.
Make sure that the items on that list are specific and achievable. Once you have your list, you can start working through it and crossing items off.
Taking action will also help you to feel more confident.
Stop being a victim
Losers always find excuses as to why they are a victim.
They blame their parents, their past, their friends, their enemies, and society for their problems.
In simple terms, losers don’t take responsibility for their own lives.
If you want to stop being a loser, then you have to stop being a victim.
Winners take responsibility for their lives and don’t blame others for their problems.
Winners know that they have the power to change their life and are willing to do whatever it takes.
You see, losers always wait for something to happen and then feel sorry for themselves when it doesn’t.
If you want to stop being a victim, then you have to get out of your comfort zone.
Explore new activities, meet new people, and do things that you are afraid of. You also have to be willing to change your thoughts and challenge your beliefs.
People tend to stay in the same situation because they are comfortable. If you want to change your life, you have to be willing to be uncomfortable.
This was really difficult for me. I felt like a victim of my circumstances and I thought I couldn’t change that.
That’s until I realized that I’m only a victim if I see myself as such. But I could also choose to use my experiences as lessons and grow from them rather than letting them destroy me!
So that’s exactly what I did. I stopped feeling like a victim and suddenly I realized that I had way more control over my life than I had thought.
Take care of your body and soul
Losers usually take very little care of their bodies and souls.
They don’t exercise, eat healthy, meditate, or do any other activities that are good for their mental and physical health.
Winners make sure to take care of their bodies and souls.
You can start taking care of your body and soul by doing the following things:
Eat healthily: If you eat healthy, then you will have more energy and be able to focus better.
Exercise: This can be anything from walking to lifting weights, yoga, running, etc.
Get enough sleep: Sleep is the time when your body repairs itself.
Spend time outside: Spending time outside in nature is a great way to reduce stress and improve your mood.
Meditate: Meditation allows you to take time out to reflect on your life and what you want out of it. It is also a great way to relieve anxiety.
When you take care of your mind, body, and soul, you are showing yourself and the world that you are not a loser and that you deserve beautiful things.
Educate yourself
If you want to stop being a loser, then you need to expand your knowledge and learn about new things.
Losers think that they know everything and have nothing left to learn.
This is a very ignorant way of thinking.
Winners know that there is always something to learn.
They don’t think that they know everything and are always willing to learn something new.
At the same time, they are selective about the things that they learn.
They don’t just accept everything that people tell them.
You can start educating yourself by surrounding yourself with knowledgeable and intelligent people.
You can also actively search for new knowledge by reading books and articles, watching documentaries, attending talks and lectures, etc.
You can also start a journal and write down your thoughts and ideas. This is a great way to expand your mind.
You see, someone who is working on expanding their mind and knowledge is never a loser.
Don’t engage in impulsive behavior
Losers tend to engage in impulsive behavior.
They do things without thinking them through or without any planning.
This can lead to bad consequences and bad outcomes.
Losers usually do this because they are irrational and don’t use their brains.
If you want to stop being a loser, then you need to start thinking before you act. Before you do something, ask yourself the following questions:
- What are the consequences of what I am about to do?
- Is there any way that I can make it happen without doing this?
- How will I feel if I don’t do this?
- Is it worth the risk?
Trust me, being more conscious about your decisions and actions throughout the day is an excellent way to stop being a loser.
You got this!
I know that feeling like a loser can take a huge toll on you, but believe me, it doesn’t have to be that way forever.
Being a loser has nothing to do with how much money you make, what you look like, or how many partners you have.
Instead, it’s an inside job.
You see, once you figure out how to stop being a loser, you will realize that life is actually amazing!
