Do you have an amazing down-to-earth personality? Do you know how to make people laugh and feel comfortable in their own skin?
There’s something about being down-to-earth that makes you stand out from the rest.
Whether it’s your natural intelligence or your easygoing nature, there’s something about you that sets you apart.
So what are some of the amazing personality traits that make you unique?
1) You’re authentic
You don’t take any bulls*t from anyone.
You’re authentic because you tell it like it is.
Now:
If you’re not on the same page with someone, you’ll tell them.
If something’s bothering you, you’ll say something.
That true self of yours is what makes people trust you and have faith in your abilities.
You don’t pretend to be someone else in order for people to like you.
If they like you for who you are, great, if they don’t, their loss.
In short:
You are who you are, and that’s refreshing to see.
One of the most common personality traits of down-to-earth people is their authenticity.
2) You live life to the fullest
Another trait of down-to-earth people is that they like to live life to the fullest.
Now:
What does it take to build a life filled with exciting opportunities and passion-fueled adventures?
Most of us hope for a life like that, but we feel stuck, unable to achieve the goals we wishfully set at the start of each year.
I felt the same way until I took part in Life Journal. Created by teacher and life coach Jeanette Brown, this was the ultimate wake-up call I needed to stop dreaming and start taking action.

So what makes Jeanette’s guidance more effective than other self-development programs?
It’s simple:
Jeanette’s created a unique way of putting YOU in control of your life.
She’s not interested in telling you how to live your life. Instead, she’ll give you lifelong tools that’ll help you achieve all your goals, keeping the focus on what you’re passionate about.
And that’s what makes Life Journal so powerful.
If you’re ready to start living the life you’ve always dreamt of, you need to check out Jeanette’s advice. Who knows, today could be the first day of your new life.
3) You don’t take yourself too seriously
Let’s face it, we all have our moments.
Moments where we take ourselves too seriously and don’t enjoy life as much as we should.
But not you.
- You cherish every moment given to you.
- You laugh at things that others may find silly – you don’t care.
- You’re so down-to-earth that you’re not afraid to laugh at yourself.
- You have a great sense of humor and a playful personality.
In essence:
You don’t take yourself too seriously and that’s why people like to be around you.
You’re easy to love.
4) You’re modest
Another personality trait of down-to-earth people is that they’re modest.
Now:
You’re a very intelligent and successful person but you don’t feel the need to brag about your achievements.
You don’t have to “sell yourself”.
You don’t need the spotlight on you all of the time in order to feel good about yourself.
What’s more:
Helping others and doing things to make their lives easier makes you happy.
You’re always volunteering in your community and you go above and beyond when it comes to caring for other people.
You don’t want anything in return, in fact, you’re often happiest when you do something nice for someone without them knowing it was you.
In short:
You don’t like to brag about how clever or successful you are.
You like to help people because it makes you happy, not because you want praise from others.
5) You’re too kind and generous
When it comes to your personal spiritual journey, which toxic habits have you unknowingly picked up?
Is it the need to be positive all the time? Is it a sense of superiority over those who lack spiritual awareness? Is it that you’re too kind and generous?
Even well-meaning gurus and experts can get it wrong.
The result?
You end up achieving the opposite of what you’re searching for. You do more to harm yourself than to heal.
You may even hurt those around you.
In this eye-opening video, the shaman Rudá Iandé explains how so many of us fall into the toxic spirituality trap. He himself went through a similar experience at the start of his journey.
But with over 30 years of experience in the spiritual field, Rudá now confronts and tackles popular toxic traits and habits.
As he mentions in the video, spirituality should be about empowering yourself. Not suppressing emotions, not judging others, but forming a pure connection with who you are at your core.

Even if you’re well into your spiritual journey, it’s never too late to unlearn the myths you’ve bought for truth!
6) You don’t worry about what other people think
This is another great trait of down-to-earth people: they don’t care what other people think.
Now:
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that you’re arrogant and inconsiderate of other people’s feelings, I mean, you don’t have the need to impress everyone all the time.
For example:
- You don’t really follow the latest fashion trends – you wear things that you like and that you’re comfortable with, even if other people might think you have no fashion sense.
- You watch the movies and read the books that interest you. They may not be popular, but you don’t care.
- You date who you want to date – young, old, short, tall, thin, fat, black, white… you get my drift. You never let other people’s opinions get in the way of you liking someone.
- If you don’t have a lot of money and can’t afford something – you say it. You don’t pretend that you’re rich and get yourself into debt because you’re embarrassed to be poor.
In short:
You genuinely don’t care what other people think, because you live life according to your own rules and beliefs and not somebody else’s.
7) You’re low-maintenance
You’re low-maintenance and down-to-earth.
You don’t need a lot to be happy. So long as you have your basic needs covered (food, water, air, and shelter) you’re good to go.
Some people need fancy cars, designer clothes, and expensive Michelin star restaurants to dine in.
These are high-maintenance people.
Not you though.
Now:
You don’t have to do a lot in order to look good, you don’t need a lot of money to live comfortably, you don’t always wear the latest fashion trends.
You prefer to focus on the things that are really important to you instead.
You just want to get by with the bare minimum, like most people.
You get more enjoyment out of your hobbies and spending time with your friends and family than spending it working to make a lot of money.
For example:
You walk or ride your bike rather than drive your car because it brings you more joy.
You take pride in growing your own vegetables in your garden instead of spending money on buying produce imported from far away.
So:
You live life more simply and enjoy it more because it’s easier to do so when compared with people who are high maintenance.
8) You’re easygoing
Another sign that you’re down-to-earth is the fact that you’re easygoing and that you’ve got a great sense of humor – you’re always the life and soul at parties and get people laughing.
You can’t stand arguing or confrontation and you prefer to leave things alone and not worry about upsetting anybody.
You’re not bothered by small things which are often a big deal to other people – e.g. an argument over a parking space or something like that.
You don’t take things too seriously and you don’t let other people get you down.
In short:
You’re easy to be around. You like to laugh and generally have a relaxed attitude to life.
9) You respect people from all walks of life
You respect people from all walks of life because you know they have value.
You know that each person has something unique to offer and that they deserve to be respected.
You don’t look down on anyone, regardless of their background or walk of life.
You see the value in people, and you want to help them find it themselves.
This is why it’s so easy for people to love you. This is why you are respected by others.
In short:
Your down-to-earth personality means that you respect all people – regardless of their background or walk of life.
10) You’re adaptable
Adaptability is a valuable attribute both in business and in life in general.
You’re adaptable and can easily work with other people – even if they are very different from you.
This is down to the fact that you’re open-minded and you don’t get easily offended.
Now:
You’re comfortable with people of all different backgrounds, religions, cultures, and beliefs.
You understand that there are many different ways of life around the world and that we can learn something from each other’s lifestyles.
You understand the importance of teamwork because you believe that everyone has something to contribute.
In short:
That’s what most people think of when they think of you. You’re not just a single, static entity.
You’re constantly changing and adapting to the new environment around you. You are an athlete, a musician, a writer, and so much more.
11) You’re a good listener
You’re compassionate, empathetic, and able to put others first.
You’re a good friend and a good listener.
These are all attributes of a down-to-earth personality.
What’s more:
You’re in tune with your surroundings and can easily understand the things that make people tick.
This means that you can accurately predict what people will do as well as how they’ll react to certain situations.
You listen carefully because you want to be able to help others in need, whether it’s to do with their emotional turmoil or their financial worries.
You believe that everyone deserves love and understanding, so you try to be a listening ear for others.
In short:
You often find that your friends and colleagues turn to you in their time of need because they know that you are a good listener who will have their best interest in mind.
You can help them reach their goals and improve their outlook on life.
12) You follow your heart
You’re a dreamer and you have big ideas.
You want to make the world a better place, so you’re always looking for new ways to improve your life.
This is why you’re always thinking of new ideas and how to make them happen.

You’re always eager to learn new things and you never stop growing.
You’re always looking for new experiences, whether it be a new hobby, a new sport, or even a new language.
You believe that life is meant to be lived and that there’s no such thing as too much knowledge.
In short:
You’re always willing to try something new and you believe that there’s no such thing as too much knowledge.
You believe that you’re never too old to learn or grow.
14) You’re never fake
Now:
- You’re an authentic, down-to-earth person and it never occurs to you to be fake.
- You’re always genuine and you don’t care about what people think of you.
- You’re not afraid to be yourself and you know that this is the key to success.
The right people will respect you for who you are, so why would you try to be someone else?
In short:
Being authentic is another personality trait of down-to-earth people.
15) You like to plan ahead
You’re a very organized person.
You’re always planning ahead and you know that it’s important to be prepared for the future.
Now:
This doesn’t mean that you don’t like to be spontaneous from time to time, it’s just that you understand that the future is unpredictable and that you should plan ahead for different scenarios.
Nobody else is going to plan your life for you.
This is why you like to have a plan for your life.
You know that having a plan will help you reach your goals and achieve success.
That’s why you’re always thinking about how to get better, improve yourself, and become more successful.
In short:
Planning ahead is another personality trait of down-to-earth people who know that it’s important to be prepared for anything that life may throw at you.
16) You don’t listen to gossip
You don’t listen to gossip.
If you like someone, you don’t let other people’s opinions change your mind.
You like to form your opinions based on your own personal experience.
You also like to listen to your gut.
Now:
When you find yourself around a group of people gossiping about someone, you’ll try and change the topic.
If they keep on gossiping, you prefer to leave instead of taking part.
What’s more, if someone starts to gossip about you, you don’t pay too much attention and you don’t let it upset you.
You may try and set people straight about the way things are, but the important thing is that you know what’s what.
17) You care about the environment
Down-to-earth people find it important to protect the environment and live sustainably.
You know that we only have this one planet, and if we destroy it, there’s no going back.
Now you:
- Do anything you can to reduce your carbon footprint
- Take a stand against climate change: You go to protests and work on spreading awareness
- Support the use of sustainable materials: When buying materials, be sure to buy sustainable materials. This means finding materials that are not harmful to the environment, and it also includes choosing materials that are affordable and consistent with our values
- Buy local foods

In essence:
You’re aware of the importance of living sustainably and you always try to do your part to protect the environment.
18) You have no trouble admitting that you’re not perfect
Nobody is perfect, not me, not you, not anybody.
Whether it’s a physical or personality trait, most people like to hide their imperfections.
Not you though.
You don’t shy away from the truth.
That’s because down-to-earth people have no problem admitting their imperfections.
Now:
- You believe in changing what you can, and accepting what you can’t.
- You know that you don’t have to be perfect to be a good person.
We all make mistakes sometimes, and it’s important to admit them.
When you make a mistake, you own up to it.
