These 9 uncomfortable things are hard to do but they’ll pay off forever

No matter how old you are now, if you start to make small changes in your life, your older self will thank you.

Every positive step has an impact on your future self, and while some things may be uncomfortable or hard for your to do, it is worth it in the end so you can live a more fulfilling and happy life.

Here are 9 uncomfortable things that are hard to do but will pay off forever.

1) Question What You Think You Know

If you want to find true meaning in your life, you need to start questioning the world around you. Just because you read something in a magazine or on the internet, or saw it on the news channel does not mean that is all there is to the story.

When you question the world around you, you become a more informed and understanding person.

2) Be Brutally Honest

If you want to live a better life, you need to start being brutally honest with yourself, and with those around you.

This doesn’t mean tell everyone they are idiots, but perhaps telling those idiots that you no longer wish to be in their company will make you happier in the long run.

3) Get Your Butt Out of Bed

If you want to make the most of your life, get yourself out of bed before the sun comes up.

Sure, it is hard to do, especially when sleep is already at a premium these days, but it can help you accomplish more and set the tone for the rest of your day, and life.

4) Save For a Rainy Day

While it is great to live in the moment and treat yourself with wonderful experiences and things, saving a little money for when you might need it in the future is a good way to cover your ass when things go sideways. And they will go sideways.

If they haven’t already. Plan for it. You’ll be glad that you did.

5) Pay Attention to What You Eat

When you write down what you eat, you will eat less. You might be surprised to find that you don’t need as much food as you thought you did.

People are constantly overeating, so if you want to live a longer, happier life, start watching what you put in your mouth.

6) Make the Most of the Calories You Do Eat

When you sit down for a meal, follow the rule of the rainbow: eat lots of colorful hearty foods rich in fibre, proteins, and nutrients.

Your body doesn’t need a lot of food when it’s getting the vitamins and minerals it needs to sustain itself. Eating better can lengthening your life dramatically, and make you feel great now.

7) Stand Up and Talk

If you want to improve your life, take a public speaking class, or get up in front of a crowd and sing karaoke.

Getting out of your comfort zone can make you smarter and more productive overall. Plus, if you can speak in front of a crowd, you can literally do anything. People are scared to death of public speaking.

8) Set Your Sights on the Seemingly Impossible…and Do it

Want to blow your own mind and live an amazing life? Set a goal that you feel like you could never achieve and start working toward it.

Want to make $5000 a week? Want to buy that new car? Go for it. Don’t be surprised if all your hard work leads to your goal, and then to more goals after that.

Once you get the ball rolling it is impossible to turn off the power inside you to achieve the things you want in life.

9) Don’t Become a Jack of all Trades and a Master of None

One of the greatest secrets to life is to focus on learning one thing at a time.

Rather than becoming someone who knows a little about everything, focus on being a person who knows a lot about something.

Make that something you are passionate about and you will become unstoppable in life.

No matter what you are trying to achieve in life, getting uncomfortable now can help you become more comfortable later. Get these things a try and see how life turns around for you.
