You don’t need to believe that Jesus was conceived by a Holy Spirit and born to a virgin to benefit from his practical teachings.
Some of these teachings and quotes can serve as inspiration as living a better life.
Many of the values of our society come from the teachings of Jesus, and I’m sure these practical teachings and quotes will resonate deeply with you.
They will also help improve the quality of your life if you start practicing them.
When it comes to love, Jesus gave these directives: Love God. Love your neighbor.
As Jesus said:
“You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else?”
When you replace hate with love and anger with kindness, your life will improve.
2. Live the golden rule
Treat others as you want to be treated.
Jesus said the following:
“Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.”
Improve your life today by treating those around you with kindness and respect.

3. Communicate sincerely with God
You can replace God with “source”, “truth within”, “the universe” or many other abstract concepts.
Really, this teaching is all about communicating sincerely with yourself and connecting with your deeper life force.
4. Have faith
This is about trusting yourself deeply and having faith in your connection to God, or whatever you’re referring to God as.
When you have faith in yourself and start to trust in your deeper powers, then providence starts falling in your favor.
There are many explanations for this, and Jesus referred to it as providing room in your heart for your life to improve.
5. Freely forgive
Forgiving is to pardon or excuse someone from blame for an offense or misdeed.
Jesus said this about forgiveness:
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other.”
By freely offering forgiveness, we can unshackle ourselves from the negative feelings that hold us back.
